High-Value Listing Addendum

Applies to designer bags, shoes, watches, jewelry, collectibles, and any item with a declared value of $500 or more.

This addendum applies to any rental of an item flagged as high-value on Lend Me (designer bags, designer shoes, watches, fine jewelry, collectibles, premium electronics, and any item with a declared replacement value at or above $500). 1. Authenticity. The Lender attests, under penalty of removal and possible reporting to brand-protection authorities, that the item is genuine, legally owned by the Lender, and not a counterfeit, replica, "AAA", "mirror", "dupe", or factory copy. Selling, lending, or advertising counterfeit goods is illegal in most jurisdictions and is permanently banned on Lend Me. The Lender must upload proof of authenticity (original receipt, authentication card, serial-number photo, or third-party authentication certificate) when publishing the listing. 2. Identity verification. Both the Lender and the Lendee must have a verified identity on their Lend Me profile to publish or book a high-value listing. 3. Refundable deposit floor. The refundable damage deposit must be at least 25% of declared value for standard high-value items, at least 50% of declared value for items in the Premium tier (declared value $500–$1,999), and 100% of declared value for items in the Ultra tier (declared value $2,000 or more). The Lendee acknowledges that the full deposit is FORFEITED to the Lender for damage beyond ordinary wear, loss, theft, failure to return on time, attempted resale or sub-lending, or any sign of an attempt to counterfeit, swap, or alter the item. 4. Condition documentation. The Lender and Lendee are strongly encouraged to take dated photos of the item at handoff and at return. These photos are the primary evidence for any damage or substitution dispute. 5. No sub-lending or transfer. The Lendee may not lend, rent, sell, pawn, or otherwise transfer the item to anyone else for any reason during the rental. 6. Reporting. Either party may report suspected counterfeiting, substitution, or fraud using the Report button on the listing. Confirmed counterfeit listings result in immediate, permanent account removal.
